A new French crêpe cafe has opened in Hamilton

Get excited, foodies: a new café for crêpes and other Parisian lunch and brunch bites has freshly opened its doors in Hamilton, and their food looks unreal.

The new café and eatery is called Crêperie Verlan, and it made its soft opening in Hamilton this week as part of the Barton Village strip.

A sister location to La Parisienne Crêperie in Bronte, Ontario, Creperie Verlan promises fresh takes on French-inspired café cuisine that “turns it inside out & upside down” with their selection of sweet and savoury crêpes, sandwiches, coffee, and more.

Menu items teased on Verlan’s social media include the Crêpe de Rouj with locally-sourced and farm-fresh ingredients including melted aged cheddar, organic mixed greens, artisanal ham, and a poached egg; and the Croque Toastie featuring local ham and an Emmental Cheese & Dijon béchamel on house-made brioche.

Crêpes are pretty hard to come by in Hamilton, so Crêperie Verlan should be warmly embraced by the city’s food lovers. Check them out now on Barton Street, Hamilton!
