Greek Palace forced to close a second time due to city construction

Not long after reopening their doors for service, one of Hamilton’s favourite spots for Greek comfort food has announced that they are sadly being forced to close their doors for a second time due to construction outside of their storefront.

Greek Palace, located near the corner of John Street North and King William Street, has cemented itself as one of the most popular takeaway spots in Hamilton for satisfying Greek eats in massive portions like souvlaki, gyros, salads, and more.

The restaurant was originally forced to close up until further notice back in February due to a city-sanctioned construction project, with little idea of when Greek Palace might once again be able to reopen its doors and fire up its grills.

But then, back in July, Hamilton foodies were met with good news when Greek Palace took to social media and announced a return to takeaway and delivery, now operating temporarily out of the rear door of their restaurant space.

Sadly, another turn of events and further construction required by the city has once again forced the doors shut on Greek Palace; a move which is now leading the takeaway spot to explore alternative options.

“This is completely out of our hands,” said Greek Palace in a post to their social media. “We are in the works to find another location & we look forward to seeing you all soon!”

Hopefully, it won’t be too long before Greek Palace finds a new home somewhere in Hamilton and gets to serve up those delicious dishes once again.
