Heads up, Hamilton: a new strange-yet-inviting bar is getting ready to opens its doors soon on James North.
The bar is called Farside, a sister location to a Toronto bar of the same name that deals in quirky, playful, and lived-in vibes while serving up craft beer, cocktails, and more.
Colourful and notably nostalgic, locals who have passed by Farside’s soon-to-open space likely had their attention drawn by a pyramid of old television sets in the front display window, surrounded by stacks of VHS tapes (remember those old things?) and the promise of something a little different coming to the James North strip.
Though Farside had projected an opening sometime in the spring or summer, plans were likely delayed by the impacts of the pandemic. That said, some rumblings and teases on the new bar’s social media indicate that Farside may be openings its doors and pouring its first pints soon!
Located at 288 James North just a few doors down from the recently-opened Italian spot Martello, locals will undoubtedly be excited to check out this brand new bar once it’s ready to go!
