Hamilton bakery The Barton General is hosting a pop-up market on James North

One of Hamilton’s favourite purveyors of small batch baked goods and other foodie delights, The Barton General, is set to host its first indoor pop-up market on James North.

Serving up some seriously sumptuous sourdough alongside other tempting baked goods, The Barton General – another project by Harrison Hennick and Gaby Gwyn-Neumann of Nique fame – used to take up residence in a small storefront near the corner of Barton and James North; the current location of Southern comfort food spot The Dirty South.

However, with the recent opening of Hennick and Gwyn-Neumann’s newest James North restaurant venture, Martello, the new elevated Italian spot will also regularly play host to The Barton General’s baked goodness like croissants, pies, cookies, and more for you to take home and demolish.

The special pop-up market will be open inside Martello on Wednesdays from 3 pm to 6 pm, and Saturdays from 9 am to 12 pm starting this week, so go check it out and get your fix of freshy, doughy, flaky goodness!
