VIDEO: Hamilton foodie hits up Barton Street’s hottest spots

It may be no secret to Hamilton’s most dedicated foodies, but the much maligned and misunderstood Barton Street strip is rapidly becoming one of Hamilton’s hottest food destinations with an exciting array of unique options.

From Detroit-style pan pizzas that will knock your socks off, to bougie brunch fit for royalty, to elevated Southern comforts, Barton Street now plays host to a particularly exciting selection of restaurants, bars, cafes, and dessert shops.

Best of all, Hamilton food blogger The Joyce of Cooking recently partnered with Two Tails Media to produce a video in which Joyce explores the foodie destinations of Barton Street and seeks to answer the burning question “Is Barton Street safe?”

“Barton has an undeservingly fearsome reputation,” says Joyce in the video as she proceeds to interview a collection of Barton residents and feature the strip’s most drool-worthy food spots.

Foodie favourites featured included decadent cake bowl purveyor Crumbled, bougie brunch spot Motel, Detroit-style pizzeria MaiPai, sumptuous sweet shop Hello Baked, Indian-inspired vegan eatery Sookham, and community-focused café 541 Eatery & Exchange.

The video is an exciting look at the places that make Barton Street a vibrant, diverse, eclectic community. Check it out on YouTube and follow The Joyce of Cooking on social media for more foodie-focused content!
