Pane Del Sole Bakery has closed until further notice

One of Hamilton’s hottest spots for the best in Italian-style baked goods and beyond is taking a breather after announcing that they will be closed until further notice.

Pane Del Sole Bakery, a family-owned Hamilton business located by the corner of John Street North and Cannon, has been a Hamilton staple for over 50 years, serving up sweet baked goods like cookies, biscotti, and cannolis, as well as a hot food counter with homemade savoury dishes for lunch or dinner.

However, the stresses of 2020 brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic have prompted this local staple to shut down for a while and refresh.

“This past year has been tough on all of us and it’s taken its toll,” said Pane Del Sole Bakery in a post on Facebook.

“We regret to inform you that we will be closed until further notice. We’re so sorry for any inconvenience this is causing but we need to put everyone’s safety first. We hope to see you guys all when we reopen and until then, we hope everybody stays happy and healthy.”

Thankfully for fans of this local classic, the closure isn’t permanent; and Pane Del Sole will undoubtedly announce their reopening in due time and return to feeding Hamiltonians before we know it.
