Pane Del Sole Bakery is reopening its doors in Hamilton

It’s back! After a blissfully brief hiatus, Hamilton’s Pane Del Sole Bakery has announced that they are set to reopen their doors and fire up their ovens again.

The classic family-owned bakery, specializing in Italian baked goods, sweets, and hot savoury dishes, announced at the top of 2021 that they would be taking an indefinite break and keeping their doors shut until further notice.

The owners cited the stresses of a tough 2020, particularly the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, as the key reason for the decision to take a breather.

“This past year has been tough on all of us and it’s taken its toll,” said the popular bakery in their original note on social media about the temporary closure, which was met with a barrage of locals and regulars sad to see a Hamilton favourite shut down, even for a brief while.

Luckily, that shutdown ended up being a short-lived one, as Pane Del Sole took to social media on Monday morning to announce their return to feeding the Hamilton masses this week!

“We’re very happy to announce our reopening on [Tuesday], January 19th at 8 am,” said Pane Del Sole in a new post on Facebook.

“We’re practicing the same safety precautions put in place to keep everybody safe and healthy. We’re looking forward to seeing you all again, we missed you!”

The news will no doubt excite countless Hamiltonians who’ve been craving a cannoli or two or five, so pop by Pane Del Sole this week and get your fix as they reopen!
