Plant-based marketplace Coven moves to a new location in Hamilton

Hamilton’s plant-based supermarket Coven has moved from its location on Barton Street to a larger storefront at 949 Main Street East.

Coven is known for its vegan, plant-based grocery options as well as a fresh bakery with cakes and a takeaway sandwich counter.

“Coven 2.0 is a lot more of the things you love with a whole swath of things worth getting excited about,” said a statement on the Coven website.

The new location is about three times larger than the store on Barton and with almost five times as much food.

A lot of the additional space has been used to expand the bakery, deli counter, frozen section, and freshly prepared items in store.

There are also takeaway sandwich and soup options with the menu posted on Coven’s website. The reopening statement also hints at a weekend take-out brunch and daily hot bar.

“We are so excited to welcome you into this beautiful, bright, huge, new space. As of [January 15th] we are now open! Can’t wait to see y’all,” finished the statement on their website.

More information about some of the offerings of Coven Plant-Based Marketplace can be found on their website.
