A new Asian fusion donut shop is opening in Hamilton

The owners of Hamilton’s successful Asian fusion bakery MySweeTooth have just announced that they’ll be opening a second enticing bakery in town focused on delicious donuts.

The new spot will be called Momoco Donuts, and will offer Asian fusion takes on the classic dessert out of a brand new shop set to open in the not-too-distant future.

MySweeTooth’s ownership announced the forthcoming shop on their social media, explaining that the concept is inspired by their own happy childhood memories.

“My mom would buy me sugar coated donuts, they were such a treat! Then during my visits to Tokyo in the past years, I instantly fell in love with their donuts, matcha glazed, strawberry glazed, pon de ring and some many other kinds, not too sweet but very flavourful!” reads the post on Instagram.

While a hard opening date hasn’t been announced yet, an image posted to social media indicates that Momoco Donuts will be taking up residence in a storefront space at 2 Catharine Street North between King Street East and King William Street.

If you’ve had the decadent desserts at MySweeTooth, you can be sure to expect a similar level of quality and singularity out of this brand new donut spot, which will be a Asian fusion donut offering in a city with virtually no similar options.

It’s clear Hamilton is more than ready and excited for the new shop, too; the social media announcement has already garnered dozens upon dozens of comments from eager Hamilton foodies who can’t wait to get their first tastes!
