The day has finally come! At long last, one of Hamilton’s favourite restaurants for authentic Greek eats is reopening its doors in a brand new location in the city.
Greek Palace, once a fixture of the lower city food scene with a long-standing storefront on John Street North at King William Street, has faced a tumultuous situation for the last year and a half.
After temporarily closing up due to construction back in February 2020, the beloved Greek spot was able to briefly reopen again by July, only to be forced closed again by further city construction in October.
Greek Palace then decided to formally close up the John Street location entirely. But thankfully, they didn’t throw in the towel.
Instead, the restaurant sought a new space elsewhere in the city, eventually landing on a storefront on the Hamilton Mountain at 2200 Rymal Road East and getting to work on preparing the new restaurant.
Finally, Greek Palace has announced that this new location is officially opening its doors this week on Thursday, July 15th, meaning Hamiltonians can once again get their fix of hearty, homemade comfort dishes like souvlaki, gyros, salads, and much more from this local staple.
Check them out at their new 2200 Rymal Road East restaurant this Thursday, and follow Greek Palace on social media for more!
