A new pizzeria has opened on James Street South

Pizza lovers of Hamilton have a brand new gem to try out just off of James Street South.

Flora Pizzeria, located near the corner of James South and Young Street, quietly opened its doors this past week and fired up the pizza ovens to start whipping up some fresh, Roman-style pies and slices.

Simple pizza styles like Margherita or pepperoni are on offer here, but the pizzeria also promises some more involved slices loaded with a wide range of toppings like potato, ham, mushroom, artichoke, and much more on a delectable, thick crust.

The pies are Roman-style, meaning they’re shaped into large rectangular slabs and made available as whole pizzas or ‘al taglio,’ meaning by the slice.

Hamilton’s got a few popular Roman-style pizza options on hand – Café Baffico, Scoly’s Pizzeria, and a number of Fortinos grocery stores to name a few – and Flora Pizzeria already looks to be a welcomed addition.

Flora’s social media presence is curiously scant – they only seem to have an Instagram page – but word on the street is that they’re already serving up some killer slices!

Go check them out at 4 Young Street, just off of James Street South!
