This new food truck in Hamilton is slinging fresh burgers and fries

A lot of Hamilton’s stationary food trucks have come and gone, but a brand new one has popped up in the lower city that’s ready to scratch our comfort food itch.

Burger Bus, located at the corner of Cannon Street and Sanford Avenue beside a location of Tim Hortons, is an eye-catching, bright yellow food truck serving up – as the name would suggest – delicious burgers and beyond.

After well over a year of teases on social media, the food truck had its official opening late last week and is already drawing in curious passersby looking to get their first tastes.

Though details on their social media are relatively scant, Burger Bus looks to deal in simple, no-nonsense, freshly-made burgers decked out in a variety of topping and served alongside hand-cut fries, poutines, and other comfort food deliciousness.

“We serve top quality burgers made with local farm fresh beef, and fresh cut fries cooked in peanut oil,” reads a note on Burger Bus’ website. “We also offer hot dogs, fried cheese curds, and more, including a few deep fried desserts!”

This promising new Hamilton small business can be checked out at 126 Sanford Avenue North daily from 10 am to 9 pm!

Burger Bus food was disgusting and I wouldn’t recommend his food to anybody! The owner was rude and disrespectful as well.
Having said that, The Burger Bus NO LONGER is in business… wonder why!

Just yesterday, (June 18) my boyfriend and I noticed it was opened again and decided to entertain our curiosity. New owner named Arule is a CHEF who recently relocated from Newfoundland.
I was skeptical after the last owner so I politely asked him for a sample of a couple of french fries. He gladly accommodated my request. The french fries were perfectly cooked so we ordered the Poutine. My boyfriend is a Frenchman so he was the final say whether we would be back or not. We were blown away. The gravy was perfect and not canned. Th curds were mixed with mozzarella which gave it the extra kick.
If you are ever in the area, you must give this a try. Reasonable prices. We shared the medium and we were full for $7.50. We are going back today. He wants to try the Fish & Chips! I will be grabbing the Poutine again.
I gave some input on different ideas as far as new items on the menu. He was engaged in our conversation so much that we were brainstorming together. I was so happy he was so open to suggestions.
Even if you decide not to eat, just go over & say hello. Tell him Katrina sent you 🙂
The name is The Truck operated by Chef Arule located next to Tim Horton’s on Cannon & Sanford.
