One of Hamilton’s best lunch spots is getting a new location in Dundas.
The Burnt Tongue – known for their fantastic rotating blackboard menu of soups, stews, and curries alongside sandwiches, burgers, salads, and some of the best fries in the city – started years ago with its still-popular original location on Cannon Street near James North.
#HamOnt Dundas will soon have a new restaurant. The Burnt Tongue is opening in the former Taylor’s Tea Room on King St. in the downtown. It’s the 4th outlet of BT; Westdale, Locke St. and Cannon St. @TheSpec pic.twitter.com/9IschDyatE

Their success and fevered fanbase led The Burnt Tongue to open another location along the Locke Street strip, and then a third in Westdale Village that also functions as a commissary kitchen.
Now, the soup spot is adding a fourth location to their growing lunchtime empire, taking over the storefront in Downtown Dundas that most recently held the dearly-missed Taylor’s Tea Room.
Locals will undoubtedly be able to expect everything they love about The Burnt Tongue at the new Dundas location, from an ever-changing menu of soups, sandwiches, and other comfort dishes.
Signage is already up at the new location and renovations are well underway; though, a firm opening date has yet to be publicly announced!
