Get ready to drool: a seriously delicious fried chicken pop-up in Hamilton has hinted at its forthcoming return.
Pappy’s Fried Chicken developed a strong following upon its initial launch in 2020, hosting weekly pop-ups where locals could pre-order fried chicken sandwiches and full buckets accompanied by comforting sides like mac ‘n cheese, coleslaw, fries, and house-made biscuits.
The chicken joint – a project that operated out of James North’s immensely popular Saltlick Smokehouse – regularly sold out as local lovers of all things fried clamoured to get their taste of what Pappy’s had to offer.
Despite the love and growing momentum for this fried chicken pop-up, Pappy’s went on an indefinite hiatus at the end of 2020, leaving foodies wondering when – or if – they’d made their return.
Lucky for us, that day appears to be coming very, very soon as Pappy’s made a surprise return to social media a couple of weeks ago to drop vague hints that they’d be turning on the fryers once again.
So far, no official date for the return of Pappy’s Fried Chicken has been publicly announced; but trust us when we say that we’re watching social media like a hawk.
