A new restaurant has opened its doors in Hamilton that specializes in staples of Caribbean cuisine.
Hotspot Restaurant & Lounge officially launched in February at 208 Kenilworth Avenue North – the space that was formerly home of Afro Caribbean Bar & Restaurant – where it offers Caribbean comfort foods alongside familiar pub classics.
Favourites like flavourful jerk chicken, oxtail, and curry goat are served with a choice of rice, vegetable salad, or coleslaw and are available for both take-out and dine-in.
But if you’re not in the mood for Caribbean food, some American pub-style options round out the menu here, with standard offerings like chicken wings, calamari, burgers, steaks, salmon, pasta, shareable appetizers, and more.
With daily lunch specials and a catering menu on top of it all, it’s looking like Hotspot Restaurant & Lounge is hitting the ground running. If you’re into Caribbean cuisine, give this place a try!

Not important
26.02.2023 2:12 amThat’s not surprising. I’ve worked at many places that opened at 4 on Saturday and Sunday and some that open at 4 one day and 12 the other day. Not surprising at all a smaller place isn’t open at 11 to pay people to do nothing until dinner when they’re busy. Obviously made the times based on business.
