This new shop for sweet treats is now open in Hamilton

The Hamilton Mountain just got a little bit sweeter with the opening of a new shop specializing in handmade desserts and tantalizing treats.

Pistachio Sweet Shop – now open at 1001 Rymal Road East, Unit #10 – is a family-run shop serving everything from homemade mini cheesecakes to cupcakes to chocolates and beyond in a wide variety of tempting flavours.

The shop also specializes in a range of Middle Eastern desserts like Markfroka, a Lebanese dessert made with pistachio dough, rosewater, and clotted cream; Daheen, an Iraqi dessert with a texture not unlike fudge; and Awamat, a deep-fried flour ball dipped in a sugar syrup.

Other unique treats like Tiramisu cups, bubble waffles, and homemade mousses are on offer here too, rounding out a menu that’s as diverse as it is enticing.
