Hamilton’s Electric Diner prepares to open its new location at Lister Block

A Hamilton diner known for elevated comfort food served in vibrant 80s-inspired setting is getting ready to open a second location in central downtown within Lister Block.

Electric Diner has been a popular fixture of Hess Village since its first opened its doors, serving up hearty breakfasts as well as burgers, salads, sandwiches, house cocktails, and more in ways that are both elevated and unpretentious.

Their popularity has allowed Electric Diner to expand its reach by opening a second location in Lister Block; one which will feature a somewhat different approach to the Hess Village flagship.

The new location – which will take up residence at the corner of King William Street and James North in the space that most recently held Wendel Clark’s Sports Bar – will feature a similar menu to the one locals have come to love at Electric Diner’s first location, with a few key differences in operations.

“We’ve been fortunate enough to need more space to meet the demands our OG location on George St is facing,” wrote Electric Diner on social media.

“We hope to help reduce weekend/holiday brunch wait times, and accommodate larger parties here at Lister Block location.”

Though a precise opening date for the new location is still to come, Electric Diner’s team is well on their way to getting the Lister Block restaurant open as soon as possible!
