New shop for gorgeous handmade chocolates is opening in Hamilton

Heads up, sweet-tooths of Hamilton: a new shop for handmade, small-batch chocolate is opening in the city, and their treats are as aesthetically beautiful as they are delicious.

Madam Bonbon is getting ready to open up their first brick & mortar shop at 165 Locke Street South this fall with chocolatier Sara Wiseman at the helm.

What makes Madam Bonbon stand out among other chocolate makers in Hamilton – on top of bonbons made with excellent ingredients – is how visually gorgeous each individual chocolate is, hand painted with brilliant bursts of colour.

But ultimately, it’s what’s inside that counts; and a bite into one of Madam Bonbon’s chocolates could reveal any number of seasonal flavours including salted caramel, lemon pie, or guava & passionfruit.

For years, Madam Bonbon has primarily sold chocolates out of east-end Italian bakery and restaurant Café Baffico, earning a strong reputation among locas for their treats.

The new shop is expected to open along Locke Street in October, so follow Madam Bonbon on social media to stay updated!
