Syrian restaurant Tomah is reopening in its new location in Hamilton

A Hamilton hidden gem for authentic, flavourful Syrian cuisine is officially opening in a brand new location.

Tomah, owned and operated by Chef Mohamad Tomeh, faced the frustrating decision to close the doors of their previous original location at 132 Queen Street South after their landlord insisted on raising their rent by a significant amount.

Thankfully, the wait for this Syrian restaurant to find its new home wasn’t a long one, and Tomah has been working swiftly to prepare their new space at 242 King Street West.

The new restaurant will still feature the same favourites locals love out of Tomah, from their Syrian shawarma sandwiches, shawarma platters, incredible falafel, fresh salads, hummus, tabbouleh, and a head-spinning variety of house-made cheeses.

The restaurant is soft-launching today – Friday, September 2nd – so existing fans and new visitors can get their taste of Tomah’s extremely popular Syrian food. An official grand opening will be announced at a later date.

Go check out Tomah at 242 King Street West for a bite, and follow them on social media for more!
