Hamilton cheers Toronto Raptors in FirstOntario Centre viewing party

The FirstOntario Centre transitioned into “SteelRassic Park” last night as hundreds of Toronto Raptors fans made their way into the NBA Finals viewing party, put on by the City of Hamilton and Core Entertainment.

For fans, it was an exciting way to celebrate together without leaving their hometown as the Canadian team took on the Golden State Warriors.

Concession stands were open, serving the usual fan favourites, and the hometown Hamilton Honey Badgers had plenty of swag available, including free noise makers and giveaways during each commercial break.

While the Raptors may have lost in the end, spirits were high throughout Game 2.

“Raptors in Six!” declared one fan as they left the game. “It’s just getting started!”

This free family-friendly event was the first of many that Core Entertainment and the City of Hamilton hopes to host throughout the series, with the next viewing party scheduled to take place following
the Hamilton Honey Badgers vs. the Guelph Nighthawks game on Wednesday June 5 at 7 pm.

Tickets are required for entry into the venue but this Wednesday’s Honey Badger game and viewing party are completely free! Grab your tickets through this link to take advantage of this complimentary doubleheader!

Entry into the venue is through the Bay Street Entrance once doors open. For more up-to-date information on the free public viewings of the 2019 NBA Finals visit coreentertainment.ca
