Margaret Atwood will be appearing at Hamilton’s gritLIT Festival this year

One of Canada’s most celebrated authors, Margaret Atwood, will be coming to Hamilton as part of the line-up of authors speaking at gritLIT in April.

Atwood will be part of the festival’s opening night on April 16th at the Playhouse Cinema. The acclaimed author will sit down with fellow writer Merilyn Simonds for an intimate conversation about inspiration, perseverance, and the future of the planet.

The Canadian author will also be reading from her latest release The Testaments; a follow-up to The Handmaid’s Tale, which itself famously inspired the wildly popular Emmy Award-winning television series of the same name.

gritLIT is Hamilton’s biggest literary festival, known for providing up close and personal interaction with established and upcoming authors.

This year’s festival will run from April 16th to 19th, 2020. Other authors scheduled to take part include Mona Awad, Ted Barris, Gwen Benaway, David Bergen, and many more.

Tickets for the opening night event featuring Atwood and the rest of the festival can be found here
