Arkells just dropped a new album with reimagined versions of their best songs

Hamilton rock band Arkells released their latest project Campfire Chords on Thursday.
The new project has almost 20 reimagined songs that were recorded over the last few months. Each song, taken from the existing Arkells catalogue, has been rethought into an acoustic version that fits with the campfire theme of the record.

Quitting You is one of the only new songs on the release. The song has been floating around the charts and local radio waves since the end of July.
A video for Quitting You was shared on the band’s social media. It was completely shot using smartphones and a small physically distant crew.
Along with a new release, Arkells also announced they would be part of a special Budweiser Stage From Home performance airing on August 29th on CityTV.

Arkells annual concert event The Rally at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton was cancelled earlier this year due to the restrictions on live music. The event was rescheduled for June 19th, 2021.
