Hamilton Bike Share is hosting a ‘ride-in’ outdoor movie in Gage Park

In a year where most public events have had to pull the plug out of safety concerns, a local organization has planned a safe outdoor outing in Gage Park this weekend that puts a spin on the drive-in movie.

Hamilton Bike Share, the company that currently operates and manages Hamilton’s SoBi bike sharing program, will be hosting a special ‘ride-in’ movie event in honour of Bike Month, so local cyclists can take in an outdoor screening at a safe physical distance from others.

A screening of the John Hughes classic Ferris Bueller’s Day Off will be presented on Saturday, September 19th at 7:30 pm in Gage Park, just north of the bandshell and near the SoBi bike share hub located at Gage and Maplewood.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets, chairs, snacks, and drinks, and proper physical distancing will also be enforced.

If you’ve been feeling cooped up at home and craving something fun to do, this just might do the trick. So grab those bicycles and pedal on over to Gage Park this Saturday night!
