Hamilton’s Mum Show is sold out – but you can still experience it virtually

The city has gone out of its way to make the Hamilton Fall Garden & Mum Show even more accessible amid a tough year.

About a month ago, city council’s public works committee announced that the city would be subsidizing admission for the Mum Show this year, allowing Hamiltonians to access the event and check out the stunning, creative floral displays for free this year as a one-time goodwill gesture.

Unsurprisingly, tickets were snatched up pretty quickly by locals eager to check out the scaled-back Mum Show in its landmark 100th year, which is being presented to limited capacities of visitors so physical distancing can be maintained.

But if you missed your chance at a ticket, don’t worry: to ensure the Mum Show can be enjoyed by as many locals as possible, the city is also releasing an online virtual tour of this year’s event so the floral displays can be viewed from home by people who were slow to grab a ticket or simply wanted to play it safer by staying home instead.

The virtual tour will soon be available to view on the city website, and the Hamilton Fall Garden & Mum Show runs from 9 am to 5 pm daily between now and November 1st.

Read more and check out the virtual tour, which will be available soon, on the City of Hamilton website.
