VIDEO: Here’s what it would look like if a plane landed on FirstOntario Centre

Ever wonder what it would look like to land an aircraft on Hamilton’s FirstOntario Centre?

I mean, the thought probably hasn’t crossed your mind before; but nonetheless, a very cool YouTube content creator has crafted a simulation that gives a sense of what that might look like.

The YouTube channel is called Stadium Landings, and its creator uses Microsoft Flight Simulator to create striking videos that digitally depict planes flying around renderings of real-life locales and eventually landing on a landmark stadium.

One of the channel’s most recent videos happens to be right here in the Hammer, giving a first-person perspective on an aircraft flying low above the City of Hamilton with countless notable landmarks visible throughout such as James Street North and many of the city’s most prominent high-rise buildings.

The centrepiece of the video is the aircraft then landing on the city’s FirstOntario Centre, formerly known as Copps Coliseum – and in fact, the digital rendering still preserves the stadium’s former identity.

It’s a mesmerizing video, and you can check it out down below!
