Celebrity sightings in Hamilton are hardly uncommon.
The city is continuing to emerge as a hot spot for exciting film and television production, attracting some of the most prolific filmmakers and large-scale projects.
Recently, you may have caught acclaimed actor Jeremy Renner making his way around Hamilton, as the Academy Award nominee was just in town shooting the forthcoming crime drama TV series The Mayor of Kingstown.

The gritty new series, co-created by Hugh Dillon and Oscar nominee Taylor Sheridan, was filming on location in various Hamilton spots including along Kenilworth Avenue North, Barton Street, and Queenston Road.
In addition, production has been taking place in Toronto, Mississauga, and Kingston, with a forthcoming release on the new streaming service Paramount Plus.
According to a synopsis, The Mayor of Kingstown follows the McLusky family and their lives in Kingstown, Michigan, which features incarceration as its most thriving industry. The series will tackle timely issues such as systemic racism, corruption, and inequality.
Further series details and an expected release date for the series are still to come.
