Hamilton’s Arkells drop new album Blink Once today

It’s here: the hotly-anticipated, new full-length record by Hamilton’s own Arkells has officially dropped today wherever music is sold.

The award-winning Hamilton-based rockers, led by charismatic frontman Max Kerman, have been prepping the public for the release of Blink Once, their latest studio effort, by dropping numerous singles from the track list in advance.

Some of those singles readily became some of the stickiest bops released in Canadian music this year, including the anthemic Years in the Making, the nostalgic summer vibes and driving beat of All Roads, and the ecstatic hip-hop spirit of You Can Get It.

Now, the full record is here in all of its 14-track glory, promising one of the most energized, playful, hooky rock albums of the year; an especially welcomed vibe during what often feels like the darkest of times.

“Blink Once is about resilience. It’s about grieving with loss and fall outs and finding your way back,” wrote the Arkells on their website.

“The making of the album began before the pandemic, but the material seems to hit harder after everything we’ve been through over the past 18 months. These songs are about finding comfort in your family, community and music.”

Blink Once, the latest studio album by Arkells, is available on all streaming platforms and wherever else you get your music.
