This new indie feature was just filmed all over Hamilton

As Hamilton continues to be a hotbed for film and television production, a new independent feature that just finished shooting in town is especially notable for being helmed by some exciting, homegrown talent.

A Hundred Lies, produced by Hamilton and Toronto-based production company Red Hill Entertainment, just wrapped production at the beginning of September after spending weeks shooting in various recognizable locales throughout the Hammer including spots along Augusta Street and within Hess Village.

The film was directed by Rouzbeh Heydari – who also directed Red Hill’s forthcoming Neon Lights starring Kim Coates from Sons of Anarchy – and written by Hamilton-based Dana Abraham, a co-founder of Red Hill Entertainment and prolific filmmaker that already has numerous impressive credits to his name.

Abraham also produces the film and shares the screen as an actor with an impressive cast including Rob Raco (Riverdale), Jessica Amlee (Heartland), Brandon McKnight (The Flash), Humberly Gonzalez (Ginny & Georgia), Stephen Tracey (Anne With an E), Michael Xavier (Northern Rescue), and Toronto recording artist K.Forest.

A gritty drama set within the realm of the Canadian music scene, A Hundred Lies follows Toronto musician Ricky as he begins rising to fame while navigating the tumultuous challenges of the industry; and an emerging reliance on drugs and alcohol.

The intense, homegrown drama also features original songs by Grammy nominee and Juno winner Gavin Brown.

A film release date for A Hundred Lies has still yet to be announced, but check out Red Hill Entertainment’s website for more about this film and others by this exciting local film production company!
