With the 2021 Grey Cup championship game taking place in Hamilton, it’s only fitting that a band from the Hammer gets to rock Tim Hortons Field for the halftime show.
Delightfully, Hamilton’s own Arkells will be taking the stage at halftime this year, hot on the heels of their 2021 record release Blink Once.

Headed by charismatic frontman Max Kerman, the Arkells are a multi-award-winning rock band that originally formed in Hamilton in 2006, accumulating a massive fanbase in the years to follow alongside a host of honours like multiple Juno Award wins for Group of the Year and Rock Album of the Year.
Their latest record, Blink Once, is loaded with bright bangers from start to finish, including hit tracks like Years in the Making, You Can Get It, and All Roads.
Which Arkells cuts will ultimately make the stage for their 15-minute concert at the Grey Cup remains to be seen; but it’s pretty much guaranteed that anything the Hamilton rockers bring out is going to get the stadium dancing.
The 2021 Grey Cup championships kick off at Hamilton’s Tim Hortons Field on December 12th; the first time Hamilton has hosted the Grey Cup in 25 years.
