Two iconic rock bands will be sharing the stage at this weekend’s hotly anticipated Grey Cup championship game in Hamilton.
The city’s own Arkells – previously announced to be heading the Grey Cup’s halftime show this season – have announced that American folk rockers The Lumineers will be joining them in performance for what is sure to be an unforgettable night in Canadian football and entertainment.

“When we got the call to do the Grey Cup, our goal from the beginning has been to make the halftime spectacular and world class,” said Arkells frontman Max Kerman in a release.
“The Lumineers have long inspired us as songwriters and it’s an honour to collaborate with Wesley and Jeremiah to bring their timeless music to the show.”
No set list has been announced for the Arkells and Lumineers’ halftime show, with the multi-award-winning bands leaving their plans as an enticing surprise for the day.
This year’s Grey Cup match is a massive one for Hamilton sports fans. Not only does the city have the honour of hosting the 108th iteration of the CFL championship match, but our very own Hamilton Tiger-Cats will be hitting the field and facing off against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
The 108th Grey Cup kicks off at Tim Hortons Field on Sunday, December 12th at 6 pm.
