Hamilton Haunted House a Hit

Looking to get scared this Halloween? If you love a good fright and even greater haunted house, you have to check out Nightmare on Elmore.

Kevin Fraser and Chris Turchi started Nightmare on Elmore thirteen years ago with the help of friends, family and some incredible volunteers. Originally the project ran as a one night only haunted house, taking over Fraser’s garage and entire front yard.

Over the years Nightmare on Elmore has grown in size. Not only has the magnitude of the haunted house itself increased, but so has the amount of volunteers, props and scares. Having gained a large following and needing more space, Nightmare on Elmore has ultimately taken up an October residency at Gage Park.

While what’s inside the haunted house has been kept a secret, you can expect there to be confined spaces, loud noises, live actors and gore. You’ll be kept on your toes all night long as you wander through the house, encountering frightening scenarios and ghoulish behaviour.

Get ready to jump, scream and grab ahold of your friends!

Nightmare on Elmore is open until October 31 from 3 – 11 pm, rain or shine. From 3 – 8 pm, the haunted house is kid friendly and tickets cost $7. From 8 – 11 pm, there will be live actors, more scares and tickets cost $8. The haunted house is wheelchair accessible.

While Nightmare on Elmore has no age restrictions, parents and guardians are asked to use their best discretion when deciding to bring children. If given a movie rating, the kid friendly time slot would be PG-13.

Will you be visiting Nightmare on Elmore this year? What do you think about haunted houses? Let us know in the comments.
