Stuff the Bus

When: Saturday December 8, 2018 from 9 am – 4 pm
Where: Freshco (Upper Gage and Rymal Road)
Admission: Free

Hamilton’s food banks are continuing to face an unfortunate shortage. To keep up with the city’s on-going demand for goods, let’s give back by participating in Neighbour to Neighbour’s Stuff the Bus food drive.

Please help stuff the big yellow school bus full of non-perishable donations for Neighbour to Neighbour’s emergency food bank. Whether you donate one item or ten, every single item is going to an incredible cause.

Glanford Curling Club Open House

When: Saturday December 8, 2018 from 10 am – 12 pm
Where: Glanford Curling Club
Admission: Free

Have you ever wanted to give curling a try? Now’s your chance!

Come learn something new and discover the art of curling at the Glanford Curling Club. This insightful event welcomes individuals of all ages.

Home of the Makers Open House

When: Saturday December 8, 2018 from 10 am – 6 pm
Where: Home of the Makers
Admission: Free

You’re invited to one of the most unique holiday open houses in the City of Hamilton!

This year’s Home of the Makers Open House features over 30 local, handcrafted vendors from all over Hamilton and the GTHA. Not only will the entire store be 10% off, but Santa will also be making an appearance from 11 am to 1 pm!

‘Twas the Night Before Christmas

When: Saturday December 8, 2018 from 5 – 9 pm
Where: Westfield Heritage Village
Admission: $11

Enjoy Westfield by candlelight and feel the warmth of the season through music, food samples, fireworks and a visit from Father Christmas.

Christmas shopping will also be available at the gift shop and the restaurant will feature light meals and refreshments.

Chorus Hamilton Christmas Concert

When: Saturday December 8, 2018 from 7:30 – 9:30 pm
Where: St. Paul’s United Church Dundas
Admission: $25

Chorus Hamilton presents Johann Sebastian Bach’s Cantata for Christmas, Gloria in Excelsis Deo, Cantata No. 191 as well as many more traditional Christmas favourites.

Enjoy Christmas treats and holiday cheer at the reception after the concert.

Downtown Hamilton Christmas Market

When: Saturday December 8 from 11 am – 11 pm & Sunday December 9 from 12 pm – 6 pm
Where: Gore Park
Admission: Free

The annual Christmas Market in Gore Park is back at it again with a whole host of festive fun. This year’s market will include an amazing array of local vendors, a Ferris Wheel, a crafty kids’ corner and plenty of food and drink options.

Yuletide carollers will be performing at 1 pm on Saturday, and Rooks Theatre will be performing holiday radio plays both days at 2 pm. This must-visit event is family-friendly and all ages are welcome.

Quiet Time with Santa

When: Sunday December 9, 2018 from 8 – 10 am
Where: Eastgate Square
Admission: Free

Children, teens and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder or any other Special Needs will have an opportunity to meet Santa in a comfortable and quiet environment.

A craft area and face painting will also be available to add to the festivities. Enter via the food court.

Brunch with Santa

When: Sunday December 9, 2018 at 11 am
Where: African Lion Safari
Admission: $25.99 per adult, $19.99 per child (3-12)

Looking to give the kids the gift of a festive and unforgettable morning? Why not take them to Brunch with Santa at the African Lion Safari?

The family will get to enjoy a scrumptious all you can eat brunch buffet, see the safari’s furry and feathered friends as well as meet Santa and his reindeer!

Hamilton Bulldogs vs. North Bay Battalion

Who’s ready for a good ol’ hockey game?

The Hamilton Bulldogs are taking on the North Bay Battalion Sunday afternoon and it’s going to be an incredible game. Come on down, cheer on your home team and support hockey in Hamilton.

Winter Lights at the Rock

When: Sunday December 9, 2018 from 6 – 9 pm
Where: Royal Botanical Gardens
Admission: $9-15

Looking to get outdoors and enjoy some holiday cheer? Winter Lights at The Rock is a great way to do so.

Thousands of festive lights lead you through a winter wonderland of charming Christmas melodies, festive sips and bites, and the Escarpment Train Exhibit.
