Free skate happening at FirstOntario Centre

While Hamilton has some great outdoor skating rinks, there are some days you just want to stay out of the elements. Well, later this month is a spectacular opportunity to skate in the most popular skating rink around!

Spectra, venue managers of FirstOntario Centre, have announced today that Core Entertainment & KX 94.7 are hosting a Community Skate. The event is free to the public and takes place at FirstOntario Centre on Sunday, January 27th from 1 to 4 pm. This is the same rink the Hamilton Bulldogs play in!

In addition to skating, a variety of local vendors will also be on site creating a mini-market! More details related to the market will be released on Core Entertainment’s social media and on radio station KX94.7 leading up to the skate.

The KX 94.7 events cruiser will be live on location with lots of great giveaways and your favourite on-air personalities will take to the ice, too!

While the skate is free, Core Entertainment and KX 94.7 asks everyone to bring coins and non-perishable food donations such as tuna, beans, rice, pasta, cereal, and baby food to the event. Thousands of individuals in Hamilton rely on food banks and it’s the least we can do in exchange for the free three hours of skating.
