Goldilocks and the Three Bears

When: Saturday January 19, 2019 at 10 am
Where: Dundas Museum and Archives
Admission: $5 per child, adults free

Join the Dundas Museum & Studio Babette Puppet Theatre for a classic fairy tale puppet show.

The event will also feature crafts, puppet-making, music, and sing-a-longs. This is a great family-friendly event to kick off your weekend.

Doing It Justice: The Steam Museum in 3D

When: Saturday January 19, 2019 from 12 – 4 pm
Where: Hamilton Museum of Steam and Technology
Admission: Free

Using 3D photography to capture images of the architecture and machinery of the 1859 Pumphouse, local designer Jennifer Kaye has done photographic justice to the beauty of this National Historic Site.

Put on a pair of 3D glasses to see the 1859 Waterworks depicted with startling realism and learn about 3D photography and machine art.

All Killer No Filler: 2000’s Tribute Night

When: Saturday January 19, 2019 at 10 pm
Where: Absinthe
Admission: $5

The Absinthe’s post-Y2K tribute night continues!

Dedicated to the best in 2000’s rock, emo, and punk music, this event features a live set by Boozetown and DJ sets of all your favourite 2000’s hits! This is a 19+ event.

Owl Prowl

When: Saturday January 19, 2019 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm
Where: Mountsberg Conservation Area
Admission: $13 per child/senior, $18 per adult, register here

Visit Mountsberg Conservation Area this Saturday to participate in the Owl Prowl.

During the guided hike, you’ll gain insight into the mysterious lives of Ontario’s majestic owls. Family nights include a fun and educational puppet show and children’s activities.

Hamilton Spring Wedding Show

When: Saturday January 19 and Sunday January 20, 2019 from 12 – 5 pm
Where: FirstOntario Centre
Admission: $12 at the door and online

The Hamilton Spring Wedding Show is the region’s largest and longest running wedding event. Whether you’re newly engaged, a month away from the big day or dreaming about your future, this is a must-attend event!

There will be over 150 wedding professionals featuring the latest fashion and settings for your big day.

Laughs & Draughts

When: Sunday January 20, 2019 at 7 pm
Where: Grain & Grit Beer Co.
Admission: $22.60, available online

Let’s face it, January is a tough month with all its gloomy weather. If you’re looking for a reason to get out of the house and have a good belly laugh, you don’t want to miss Laughs & Draughts.

This event is Grain & Grit’s first ever comedy night, featuring four different comedians. Come on out, have a laugh and support our awesome local comedians.

New Year New Talent Burlesque Show

When: Sunday January 20, 2019 at 7 pm
Where: The Casbah
Admission: $10-$15, available online

Hamilton Burlesque Society is proud to present “New Year New Talent Burlesque Show” at The Casbah. Hosted by Miss Cadence, with special guest judges, this event will showcase the newest burlesque talents in Southern Ontario.

There will be prizes awarded for best new talent and audience participation games. Get ready to have a great time and enjoy the art of burlesque.
