Where: Quite a Stretch Yoga and Zumba
Admission: $110 for 10 weeks
Introduce your child to the joys of yoga while participating together in a program that incorporates the mind, body and spirit.
Yoga asana, meditation and pranayama is incorporated in each class through play, movement and song. The class is designed for children ages 1-5; children of all abilities and needs are welcome.
When: Saturday January 5, 2019 from 10 am to 3 pm
Where: Hamilton Children’s Museum
Admission: $2 for adults, $4 for children, $9 for families
Escape the cold and visit the Hamilton Children’s Museum for some winter fun. There’ll be museum galleries as well as a variety of crafts and activities for the whole family!
When: Saturday January 5, 2019 at 4 pm
Where: FirstOntario Centre
Admission: $22-26, available online
The Hamilton Bulldogs are back in action this Saturday afternoon.
Facing off against the Sarnia Sting, we expect this to be an incredible game. Come on down, cheer on your home team and support hockey in Hamilton
When: Saturday January 5 and Sunday January 6, 2019 from 9 am to 5 pm
Where: Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum
Admission: $15 for adults, $13 for students a seniors, $10 for youth
This winter the museum will be hosting Ace Academy Flight Experience – an exciting interactive exhibit from the Canada Aviation and Space Museum.
Visitors will have the chance to pilot a First World War biplane using motion sensing technology. Players enter an immersive environment, facing a screen and standing on a roundel to active the experience. Authentic aircraft imagery takes centre sage as players fly a realistic rendering of the Sopwith Camel biplane.
When: Saturday January 5 and Sunday January 6, 2019 from 10 am to 5 pm
Where: Ancaster Fairgrounds Marritt Hall
Admission: $15 per child, $5 per adult
Come on out and get everyone out of the house for some much needed fun!
Ancaster Fairgrounds’ Marritt Hall will be filled with inflatables. Two inflatables will be designated for toddlers, while the remainder will be good for kids at least 3 feet tall. Fresh popcorn, cotton candy and ice cream will be available for purchase.
When: Saturday January 5 and Sunday January 6, 2019 from 10:30 am to 4 pm
Where: Royal Botanical Gardens Rock Garden
Admission: $10-$18
RBG’s newest “G Scale” model train experience takes you on a journey through four seasons of whimsical Canadian landscapes while telling the story of how railroads shaped our history.
The Escarpment Train Exhibit illustrates three eras of locomotion history including the steam engines, streamliners and modern diesels.
When: Saturday January 5 and Sunday January 6, 2019 from 12 – 4 pm
Where: Whitehern Historic House & Garden
Admission: $5-7
Visit Whitehern to see the home in all its Christmas finery.
The halls will be decked, the dining table is set with the best china, the original toys are under the tree in the sitting room, and three different time periods show how traditions have changed through the generations of the McQuesten family at Whitehern.
