Long Weekend events in Hamilton February 16-18, 2019

Looking for something fun to do this long weekend? Look no further. We’ve found a wide range of events in and around Hamilton for all ages and interests to enjoy.

Here’s what’s happening in the city this weekend.

Winterfest Canteen

When: Saturday February 16, 2019 from 10 am – 9 pm
Where: Battlefield Part National Historic Site
Admission: Free

The Canteen at Battlefield Park is the third signature event for Hamilton Winterfest 2019.

Saturday’s Canteen will feature live music, an air hockey tournament, a winter marketplace, a fire pit, the Bookmobile & story-telling by the Hamilton Public Library, as well as all kinds of tasty treats.

La Nuit Du Vagabond

When: Saturday February 16, 2019 from 7:30 – 8:30 pm
Where: The Cotton Factory
Admission: $28, available online

Hamilton Aerial Group will perform their annual circus theatre show this Saturday!

Through aerial dance, puppetry and stilt dance, the Aerial Group weaves a story about a movement of people toward a brighter future. Doors open one hour prior to the show.

Hamilton Bulldogs vs. Peterborough Petes

When: Saturday February 16, 2019 at 7 pm
Where: FirstOntario Centre
Admission: $22-26, available online

The Hamilton Bulldogs are back in action this Saturday afternoon.

Facing off against the Peterborough Petes, we expect this to be an incredible match. Come on down, cheer on your home team and support hockey in Hamilton.

Hamilton Kids Fest 2019

When: Saturday February 16 and Sunday February 17, 2019 from 10 am – 5 pm
Where: Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum
Admission: $25 for kids, $10 for adults, $60 for families

Canada’s largest indoor inflatable festival returns this weekend!

Blown up and ready for play, some of North America’s largest indoor inflatable rides will be at the event. Your kids will jump, bounce, slide, crawl, and laugh their way through the day.

In addition to the inflatables, guests will have access to interactive activities, games, crafts, character meet-and-greets, and admittance to the museum.

CF Lime Ridge Cadillac Fairview Winter Walk

When: Sunday February 17, 2019 from 7:30 – 11 am
Where: CF Lime Ridge Mall
Admission: $5 registration fee

CF Lime Ridge, in collaboration with the City of Hamilton, is proud to host the first-ever Cadillac Fairview Winter Walk.

This Sunday’s walk has been put together in efforts to raise funds for Empowerment Squared, a local youth charity based in Hamilton. Lace up those running shoes and get walking!

Hamilton Fun at J Hamilton

When: Sunday February 17, 2019 from 11 am – 1 pm
Where: J Hamilton
Admission: $5

Join J Hamilton this weekend for some family fun!

At Family Fun day, you will have the opportunity to meet baby goats, get your face painted, participate in some arts and crafts, and enjoy some refreshments.

Binbrook Little Theatre: Beauty and the Beast

When: Sunday February 17, 2019 from 2 – 4 pm
Where: Binbrook Memorial Hall
Admission: $15

Visit Binbrook Memorial Hall this weekend for a special pantomime presentation of Beauty and the Beast.

Mixing song, dance, and all the bad jokes you can take, this performance will be fun for the entire family.

Dundas Rotary Winter Carnival

When: Monday February 18, 2019 from 12 – 4 pm
Where: Dundas Driving Park
Admission: Free

Hamilton’s Winterfest celebration continues into Family Day with an incredible winter carnival.

Hosted by the Dundas Valley Sunrise Rotary Club, the carnival will feature free skating at the rink, horse-drawn sleigh rides around the park, exhibition from the Dundas Figure Skating Club, music and free hot chocolate.

Trains, Trains and More Trains

When: Monday February 18, 2019 from 12 – 4 pm
Where: Hamilton Museum of Steam and Technology
Admission: Free

The Hamilton Museum of Steam & Technology will be open on Family Day for some education and entertainment suitable for the whole family.

Visit the museum’s educational activity stations where you can build and experiment, create a sun-dial that you can take home, and watch the model steam trains run.

Family Heritage Day

When: Monday February 18, 2019 from 12 – 4 pm
Where: Westfield Heritage Village
Admission: $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, $6.50 for youth

Celebrate Heritage Day and Family Day together at Westfield this Monday.

Patrons are welcome to participate in fun, family-friendly activities, and visit the heritage building, candy store, and unique gift shop.
