Dragon’s Den Auditions

When: Saturday March 16, 2019 from 10 am – 5 pm
Where: Mohawk College
Admission: Free

Do you have a great business or idea you’ve always wanted to pitch? Come audition for CBC’s Dragon’s Den.

Dragon’s Den is calling all entrepreneurs to Mohawk College this weekend to present their business pitches for a chance to be featured next season. Apply online before attending.

St. Patrick’s Day at Shawn & Ed Brewing Co.

When: Saturday March 16, 2019 from 11 am – 7 pm
Where: Shawn and Ed Brewing Co.
Admission: $5

This Saturday marks the second annual St. Patrick’s Day Bash at Shawn & Ed Brewing Co!

This year’s celebration will include live Irish music, Irish food, all kinds of holiday festivities, and of course beer. Please drink responsibly.

Baskin-Robbins 100th Location Celebration

When: Saturday March 16, 2019 from 1 – 5 pm
Where: CF Lime Ridge Mall
Admission: Free

Baskin-Robbins is celebrating the recent opening of its 100th shop in Canada, which happens to be the Lime Ridge Mall location.

To celebrate the achievement, Baskin-Robbins will be hosting tons of family and kid-friendly activities, such as face painting and free balloon animals. The ice cream store will also be running a buy one get one free ice cream scoop promotion.

St. Patrick’s Day Showdown in Steeltown

When: Saturday March 16, 2019 at 6 pm
Where: Hamilton Convention Centre
Admission: Free, donations encouraged

Live professional championship boxing is back in Hamilton by popular demand!

At this Saturday’s fight, both local and international talent will be on display as contestants compete to see who is the best of the best. All proceeds from the night will be donated to Hamilton’s Big Brothers Big Sisters.

The Room with Greg Sestero

When: Saturday March 16, 2019 at 9 pm
Where: Playhouse Cinema
Admission: $14

Oh hi, Mark! Experience Tommy Wiseau’s The Room (2003) at its first ever screening in Hamilton with Greg Sestero in attendance.

This special event will include a screening of the cult classic, a Q&A session, script reading, signing, and a meet and greet.

Spring Tide Bulb Show

When: Saturday March 16, 2019 and Sunday March 17, 2019 from 9 am – 5 pm
Where: Gage Park Tropical Greenhouse
Admission: Free, donations appreciated

Located in the brand new Gage Park Tropical Greenhouse, the Spring Tide Bulb Show is a journey to an oasis with beautiful flower displays and the smell of spring.

Hundreds of spring bulbs with be on display. Bring the family, participate in the scavenger hunt and enjoy the first sights, sounds, and smells of spring!

Disney on Ice

When: Saturday March 16, 2019 and Sunday March 17, 2019 at 11 am and 3 pm
Where: First Ontario Centre
Admission: $25+, tickets available online

Grab your Mickey ears and get ready for the ultimate Disney experience when Disney On Ice skates into Hamilton this weekend.

Be charmed by a cast of over 50 of Disney’s unforgettable characters and sing along to over 30 classic songs. This show is sure to leave your whole family captivated with memories to last a lifetime.

Maple Syrup Festival

When: Sunday March 17, 2019 from 10 am – 4 pm
Where: Westfield Heritage Village
Admission: $6.50-$12

Discover one of Canada’s most time-honoured and tasty traditions this weekend at Westfield Heritage Village.

See demonstrations of traditional techniques used in early Ontario to produce maple syrup. After, take a short, picturesque walk to Westfield’s sugar bush where you can visit the sugar shack and learn about (and taste!) some of Westfield’s very own maple syrup.

Ace Academy Flight Experience

When: Sunday March 17, 2019 from 9 am – 5 pm
Where: Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum
Admission: $15 for adults, $13 for students a seniors, $10 for youth

This winter the museum will be hosting Ace Academy Flight Experience — an exciting interactive exhibit from the Canada Aviation and Space Museum.

Visitors will have the chance to pilot a First World War biplane using motion sensing technology. Players enter an immersive environment, facing a screen and standing on a roundel to active the experience. Authentic aircraft imagery takes centre sage as players fly a realistic rendering of the Sopwith Camel biplane.

The Magical World of Wizarding

When: Saturday March 16, 2019 and Sunday March 17, 2019 from 9:30 am – 3:30 pm
Where: Hamilton Children’s Museum
Admission: $2.50-$10

Get your wands ready as the Children’s Museum transforms into a magical school of wizardry!

Visitors will learn all about charms, potions, divination and even how to take care of magical features. Dressing up as your favourite witch or wizard is encouraged.
