Christie Antique & Vintage Show

When: Saturday May 25, 2019 from 8 am – 5 pm
Where: Christie Lake Conservation Area
Admission: $10, children 12 and under free

Hundreds of Canada’s top antique and vintage dealers come together at Christie Lake Conservation Area to display and sell an unparalleled variety of treasures. Whether you’re an avid collector or just enjoy all things vintage, come discover an incredible array of unique goods.

Yoga with Alpacas and Sheep

When: Saturday May 25, 2019 at 8:20 am
Where: Fibre Friends Yoga

Fibre Friends Yoga is pleased to offer an incredible outdoor yoga experience unlike any other. At a Fibre Friends, you will participate in a yoga class amongst alpacas and sheep.

The alpacas are very calm and curious, while the sheep are very well socialized and love being around people. The outdoor setting is very peaceful; the collective humming from the alpacas will ease you into meditation. Be sure to bring your own yoga mat and towel.

Spring Fling at Victoria Park

When: Saturday May 25, 2019 from 10 am – 3 pm
Where: Victoria Park
Admission: Free

Ready to kick off the summer season? Visit Victoria Park this Saturday for a day of fun in support of Strathcona Elementary.

Spring Fling will feature plenty of vendors, a community yard sale, face painting, family activities, a silent auction, and food by Bread Bar.

Made in Dundas Community Family Festival

When: Saturday May 25, 2019 from 11 am – 3 pm
Where: Dundas Musem and Archives
Admission: Free

Treat the kids to a fun afternoon with the Dundas Community Family Festival.

The festival is full of free activities for kids and families of all ages to enjoy. Some of these activities include horse drawn carriage rides, puppet shows, face painting, and exploring antique fire trucks.

Hamilton First Annual Silly Walk

When: Saturday May 25, 2019 from 1 – 3:30 pm
Where: Gore Park
Admission: Free

May is Mental Health Month. Help Hamilton support community care and well-being by attending the city’s first annual Silly Walk.

Dress in your silliest outfits and meet at Gore Park for a 1.5 hour event ending at City Hall. Not used to being silly? Don’t worry, there’ll be plenty of activities to help you warm up and shake loose.

Cirque Du Soleil: Corteo

When: Saturday May 25, 2019 and Sunday May 26, 2019 at various times
Where: FirstOntario Centre
Admission: $69-$149, available online

Corteo is the latest arena production from Cirque Du Soleil. The show depicts a joyous, festive parade imagined by a clown.

The show brings together the passion of the actor with the grace and power of the acrobat to plunge the audience into a theatrical world of fun, comedy, and spontaneity situated in a mysterious space between heaven and earth.

Virtual Reality Experience – BBC 1943 Berlin Blitz

When: Saturday May 25, 2019 and Sunday May 26, 2019 from 9 am – 5 pm
Where: Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum
Admission: Free with regular admission ($10-$15)

The BBC has created a masterfully animated Virtual Reality Experience using Vaughan-Thomas’ original war recordings, which vividly capture the danger of the bombing raid.

This unique cinematic experience transports visitors inside the bomber as the crew endures endless flak and a night fighter attack in their journey to the heart of Nazi-occupied Europe.

Presented in immersive Virtual Reality, this powerful experience is the closest that one can get to truly experiencing the bravery demonstrated by Bomber Command. The 14-minute experience is available for those aged 13 and up on a first come, first serve basis.

Antique Doll Show & Victorian Tea

When: Sunday May 26, 2019 from 11 am – 3 pm
Where: Erland Lee Museum
Admission: $10-$20

Learn more about antique dolls this weekend during a special tour of the Erland Lee Museum.

Featuring displays of dolls from the museum collection and personal collections, you’ll be able to browse collectible, retro, and vintage dolls for sale.

May Family Fun Day

When: Sunday May 26, 2019 from 1 – 3:30 pm
Where: Art Gallery of Hamilton
Admission: $5 per family

Ever wondered what your child thinks about art? Come join the Art Gallery of Hamilton for it’s Family Fun Day and learn with your kids how to look at art carefully and think creatively.

Family Fun Day will begin with a miniature tour of the second floor exhibitions, followed by a hands-on art class. At the end of the class, your family will have a beautiful, one-of-a-kind work of art to take home.

Pinball for Humanity

When: Sunday May 26, 2019 from 5 – 8:30 pm
Where: Arcade
Admission: $5

Love pinball and supporting worthy causes? Test your skills at Arcade this Sunday at their charity pinball tournament in support of Habitat for Humanity Hamilton.

The qualifying round will take place from 5 to 7 pm, with each player getting up to 8 attempts. If 20 or less players register, the top half of players with the best scores will qualify for finals. If more than 20 register, only the top 10 qualify for finals.

Arcade will be donating each $5 registration fee to Habitat for Humanity Hamilton, but donating what you can above $5 is greatly appreciated.

Hammer City Samba

When: Sunday May 26, 2019 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm
Where: The Sky Dragon Centre Studio
Admission: Free

Come learn to play some funky beats with Hammer City Samba.

Hammer City Samba is a community percussion band; no experience is necessary and instruments are provided. All ages are welcome.
