Everything you need to know for Canada Day 2019 celebrations in Hamilton

The City of Hamilton has partnered with RBC to bring together an exciting day of celebration at Bayfront Park today, July 1st, from 2 – 10:30 pm

There will be 15+ food trucks, artisanal vendors, and a craft beer garden located on the park grounds.

A family zone presented by Tim Hortons will provide all-day family programming including interactive games, inflatables, and more!

Performance Schedule

Live performances will begin at 2 pm under the following schedule:

  • 2 pm Opening Kick-Off
  • 2 pm Julianna Jones
  • 3:30 pm George Arnone Big Band
  • 4:45 pm LTtheMonk
  • 6:15 pm Darcy Hepner Jazz Orchestra
  • 7:45 pm Rita Chiarelli
  • 9:15 pm Zaki Ibrahim

At 10 pm the firework display will commence. This year, the show will be set to a local, contemporary pop/rock soundtrack.


There is limited parking available near Bayfront & Pier 4 Parks so the City of Hamilton is encouraging all who are able to take the free shuttle service from downtown Hamilton to Bayfront Park beginning at 2 pm.

Shuttle Schedule

Between 2 to 6 pm, shuttles will depart every 15 minutes leaving downtown at :00, :15, :30 and :45

Between 6 to 8:40 pm, shuttles will depart every 12 minutes leaving downtown at :00, :12, :24, :36 and :48

  • Downtown at King opposite Summers Lane (across from MacNab Terminal)
  • Bayfront Park

Southbound to Downtown

  • Bayfront Park (until 9 pm only)
  • James at Strachan (until 9 pm only)
  • James at Colbourne (until 9 pm only)
  • James at Cannon (until 9 pm only)
  • James opposite King William (until 9 pm only)
  • Downtown at King opposite Summers Lane (across from MacNab Terminal)
