Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Look no further. We’ve found a wide range of events in and around Hamilton for all ages and interests to enjoy.

Here’s what’s happening in the city this weekend.

Farm Crawl

When: Saturday July 13, 2019 from 10 am – 4 pm
Where: Various locations
Admission: $5 and up

Farm Crawl is an opportunity to get an inside look at the operations of many of Hamilton’s farms.

All of the eleven participating farms are excited to both entertain and educate their guests. Each farm is entirely unique and will offer different experiences; be sure to visit all of the farms to get the most out of your experience.

Stories in the Stones

When: Saturday July 13, 2019 from 11 am – 1 pm
Where: Hamilton Cemetery
Admission: Free

Continue the James Street North Art Crawl in the Hamilton Cemetery.

Meet the artists, poets and musicians of the past and learn their stories. On the way, learn about Hamilton’s cemetery art, statues and Victorian symbolism.

BECAUSE BEER Festival

When: Saturday July 13, 2019 at 2 pm
Where: Pier 4 Park
Admission: $25 and up, available online

Beer lovers rejoice! BECAUSE BEER festival is the perfect opportunity to sample the work of more than 40 craft beer and cider makers. There will be guest speakers, an awards ceremony, and the chance to interact with brewers.

Looking to eat, drink, and relax? This year’s festival will have a big selection of specialty food vendors, as well as a great music stage. What could be better than drinking a cold beer, eating great food, and listening to Born Ruffians?

Hamilton Tiger-Cats vs. Calgary Stampeders

When: Saturday July 13, 2019 at 7 pm
Where: Tim Hortons Field
Admission: $29 and up, available online

It’s game day in Hamilton as the Tiger-Cats prepare to take on the Calgary Stampeders.

Get outside, enjoy some Saturday afternoon football and cheer on your home team.

Homesick: Emo Night Hamilton

When: Saturday July 13, 2019 at 10 pm
Where: Absinthe
Admission: $5, available online

This Saturday we’re traveling through time with your favourite group of misfits: that’s right, we’re taking you back to the heyday of My Chemical Romance as we celebrate all things Gerard Way with this special Umbrella Academy/ MCR edition of Homesick.

Homesick is a specialty emo night dance party. Relive your teenage angst with all your favourite songs from Taking Back Sunday, All Time Low, and more.

Hamilton Harbour Tour

When: Saturday July 13, 2019 and Sunday, July 14 from 10 – 11:30 am
Where: Hamilton Harbour
Admission: Pay what you can

Learn about the evolution of Hamilton’s waterfront on this free guided walking tour which starts at Pier 8 and concludes at the HMCS Haida.

Walk the winding waterfront trail past marinas and yacht clubs and hear about Hamilton’s role in the Prohibition era, smuggling alcohol to the United States. Learn how the harbour became on of the busiest ports in Canada, and see the revitalization efforts to reclaim the waterfront.

Ancaster Rib Festival

When: Saturday July 13, 2019 and Sunday, July 14 from 12 – 11 pm
Where: Ancaster Fairgrounds
Admission: Free

Hot dang! The Ancaster Rib and Craft Beer Festival is back for 2019 and they’re bringing the best BBQ in Canada to the Ancaster Fairgrounds.

You’re in for a weekend full of food, fun, and entertainment. There will be plenty of activities for both kids and adults that’ll be sure to keep the whole family busy!

Next to Normal

When: Sunday July 14, 2019 at 2 pm
Where: Hamilton Theatre Inc.
Admission: $20 and up, available online

Next to Normal is a deeply moving piece of theatre. An emotional powerhouse, the performance addresses such issues as grieving a loss, ethics in modern psychiatry, and suburban life.

Next to Normal takes audiences into the minds and hearts of each character, presenting their family’s story with love, sympathy and heart.

Music at Fieldcote

When: Sunday July 14, 2019 from 6:30 – 9 pm
Where: Fieldcote Memorial Park & Museum
Admission: Free, $5 a person as a suggested donation

Visit Fieldcote Museum this Sunday for an outdoor evening of music.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and find a spot to settle in for the night and be entertained. This weekend’s performer will be Patricia O’Callaghan and David Braid.

Paint Night at Grain & Grit

When: Sunday July 14, 2019 from 7 – 9 pm
Where: Grain & Grit Beer Co.
Admission: $45, available online

Join local artist, Aleah, in the tap room of Grain & Grit for a night of painting and beer.

She will walk through an acrylic landscape step-by-step to help you create a masterpiece from a blank canvas. Come by yourself or bring a friend — either way, no experience is required!

All supplies, as well as a flight of 12oz glass of beer, are included in the ticket price. Come ready for fun, and dressed to paint.
