Things To Do This Weekend From The Comfort Of Your Own Home

Looking for something fun to do this weekend while staying indoors? Look no further. Here’s a list of at-home activities for people of all ages and interests to enjoy.

Spring Cleaning

Winter is officially over! The sun is out and temperatures are rising. While it is strongly advised to stay home for now, this is the perfect time to start cleaning out all the junk you’ve been hoarding all winter. This includes sorting and putting away your winter closet, yard work and gardening, and preparing for the sunny days ahead!

Movie Marathon

Have you been lacking in the movie department lately? This is the perfect time to catch up on your massive Netflix queue or binge all of the recent award-winning films everyone’s talking about such as Parasite, Joker, The Irishman, JoJo Rabbit and many more!

Board Game Night

Board games are back and here to stay! When people think of board games, many think of a group in the basement playing Dungeons & Dragons, but there is much more variety available out there! This is a perfect time to break out the dice and have some family bonding time. Warning: a family game of Monopoly does not always end well.

Home Cooking

Although store shelves are pretty bare in certain areas, working with what you can at home is great push for some good old fashioned home cooking. Whether its a new recipe to try out or a special, traditional family meal, some hearty homemade means are sure to be most appreciated in a time like this.

Working Out

Just because the gyms are closed doesn’t mean you have to stop your fitness routine! Push ups, sit ups, stretching, and yoga are all basic alternatives to working out without the usual gym equipment.

Learn a New Skill

There are millions of video tutorials online for you to learn just about anything. Why not pick up juggling? Or learn how to do a back flip? You could learn to write a song, a screenplay, solve a Rubik’s cube, or even practice some magic tricks. The possibilities are endless!

Nowadays, life feels like a speeding train with no foreseeable stops. Take this time to sit down, breathe, and think about all the good things in your life. Call your family and friends, look at old photos, meditate, nap, and most importantly, try to stay in touch with being the best possible you. Before you know it, we will be out in the hustle and bustle of life again.

There’s plenty to do and see this weekend from the comfort of your own home, Hamilton.
