Though COVID-19 has drastically changed the ways in which live events can go ahead for the next while, that’s not stopping some Hamilton organizations from finding safer ways of celebrating the forthcoming Halloween weekend.
Even the City of Hamilton itself, anticipating some neighbourhoods may still be planning to go ahead with trick-or-treating, recently released a list of health & safety guidelines to help residents celebrate the spooky holiday as safely and responsibly as possible.
If you’re a little too old for trick-or-treating, there are also a whole bunch of local spots planning socially-distanced nights of Halloween fun this coming weekend; and thankfully, local food blogger The Joyce of Cooking has once again done the work of compiling a list of Halloween festivities happening in Hamilton.
The events are wide-ranging, from outdoor movie nights at Barton street craft beer bar Mosaic, to takeaway cookie decorating kits from local vegan spot Planted, to a special Halloween hunt in Barton Village.
If you’re planning to venture out for Halloween fun this weekend, there are lots of great options on Joyce’s list. Remember: be safe, practise social distancing, and always wear those masks!
