Judas Priest are playing in Hamilton today

British heavy metal legends Judas Priest are finally bringing their 50 Heavy Metal Years to Hamilton today, April 13 at the FirstOntario Centre.

The show will be the last of four Canadian stops, with the other three stops being in Halifax, Laval, and Quebec City. They will be joined by American heavy metal band Queensrÿche as the opening act.

Originally scheduled as the tour’s final stop on November 5 of last year, the show was rescheduled after guitarist Richie Faulkner suffered an aortic aneurysm on stage in September. Produced by Live Nation, the tour will feature a variety of special effects for the ultimate Judas Priest experience.

Formed in 1969 in Birmingham, England, Judas Priest have sold over 50 million copies of their albums and are considered one of the greatest metal bands of all time. After releasing trailblazing albums such as Sad Wings of Destiny (1976) and Sin After Sin (1978), the band would conquer the world in the 80’s with all-time classics such as British Steel (1980) and Screaming for Vengeance (1982).

Their last studio album Firepower (2018) peaked at #5 on the Billboard 200, making it the highest charting album of their career.

Tickets for Judas Priest’s 50 Heavy Metal Years Tour are now on sale via Core Entertainment and can be purchased here.
