A family-friendly cycling event is happening in Dundas

Those looking for a family-friendly, charitable event to close out the summer should head down to Dundas Driving Park later this month.

The Rotary Club of Dundas is hosting the first ever Tour de Dundas Gran Fondo on Sunday, September 25th 2022. The cycling event will support the charitable work of Rotary International and offer late-summer cycling at its finest.

The cycling routes will wind along paved rural roads through rolling countryside and pastoral landscapes. Riders can choose from 60km, 100km, and 160km routes with elevation gains of 500m to 1,000m.

All routes are GPS-supported and printed maps will be available. Rest stations for water and snacks are spaced at appropriate intervals, and lunch will be waiting for you at the finish!

Participation in the event will support the charitable work of the Rotary Club of Dundas; including Margaret’s Place Hospice, Routes Youth Centre, and Global Polio Eradication.

For children aged 8 to 11, the Ride Smart skills and safety training program will be presented by New Hope Community Bikes. Registration information can be found on the event website.

Dundas Driving Park also includes playgrounds, picnic shelters, and public washrooms. Free onsite parking is available for the early birds, with free municipal parking within 1km of the park.

Don’t miss out on this great way to end the summer! Get your tickets for Tour de Dundas Gran Fondo here and follow the event on Facebook and Instagram for more updates.
