Dragnet Girl is a 1933 Japanese film about a gangster who tries to find redemption with the inadvertent help of an innocent shop girl and his jealous girlfriend will do anything to keep him.

“The deep shadows, the jarring angles and cuts, and the idiosyncratic whims of gesture evoke a sorry underworld that’s out of joint, out of luck, and out of time,” said The New Yorker film critic Richard Brody of the film.

Musical accompaniment will be provided by the VOC Film Harmonic who are dedicated to performing live and improvised soundtracks to silent films.

Tickets for the February 13th event start at $10 for Seniors. General admission tickets are $15 for Playhouse members and $18 for non-members. Tickets are available in the Playhouse website
