If you haven’t bowled a few rounds at Thunder Alley before, it looks like you’ve missed your chance completely.
Located on the lower level of Hamilton City Centre, bowling alley and karaoke bar Thunder Alley has officially and unceremoniously closed up its lanes permanently.

A photo posted to social media showed that a Notice of Termination from Hamilton City Centre has been posted outside of Thunder Alley, with the space’s landlord immediately terminating Thunder Alley’s residency. Non-payment of rent and abandonment of the premises are cited on the notice as the primary reasons for the termination.
The city’s only bowling alley in the central downtown area, Thunder Alley’s unusual location meant that it was often overlooked by Hamiltonians looking for a fun group activity.
Regardless, as the Hamilton City Centre is set for a total demolition in the near future to make room for a new condo complex, none of what currently resides in the longstanding centre will be around in the same space in the near-future either.
