The 10 Best Vintage Clothing Stores in Hamilton for 2018

Looking for the best vintage clothing in Hamilton but don’t know where to shop? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with this top ten list.

Here’s our 2018 list for Hamilton’s 10 best vintage clothing stores.

  Vintage Over All

Starting off our list is Vintage Over All, an online-based children’s boutique. The boutique specializes in 1980s and 1990s toddler wear, featuring plenty of Disney prints, bright colours and pieces that look way cooler now than they were back in the day.

Vintage Over All is owned and operated by Meg Makins, a Hamilton-based entrepreneur that has a real eye for kids’ fashion. All of the shop’s pieces have been hand picked, gently used and have been kid approved by Makins’ daughter Clementine.

Pieces from Vintage Over All make for great baby shower gifts, birthday presents or just as an adorable addition to your child’s wardrobe. All pieces can be ordered through Vintage Over All’s Etsy store. If you prefer to arrange for a free in-person pick up, message Vintage Over All on Instagram.

  Bang! Bang! Vintage

Hamilton’s newest vintage clothing shop is Bang! Bang! Vintage. While the company doesn’t shy away from any era, most of their pieces come from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s.

Bang! Bang!’s curated collection reflects each era’s popular styles and their alternative counterparts. The store not only caters to those who are looking for pieces that are a clear indication of an era, but to those who are interested in exploring older, niche trends.

While Bang! Bang! operates out of Hamilton, Bang! Bang! mostly serves as an online boutique. To see their pieces in person, they often do pop-up events and sell items at Art Crawl.

 Girl on the Wing

Girl on the Wing is a retail boutique specializing in vintage clothing and nostalgic wears. Located on King Street, the shop is a well-curated collection of pieces that have come from all different eras across all corners of the globe.

Whitney McMeekin, the shop’s director and proprietor, is known across Hamilton for her entrepreneurial heart and business endeavours. When she’s not busy running Girl on the Wing, you’ll find her organizing vintage focused pop-up events through her other business, Hamilton Flea.

Each vintage piece you find at Girl on the Wing is hand picked and often one-of-a-kind. Whether you’re shopping for yourself or someone else, Girl on the Wing will provide you with hand-selected, unique clothing items that will stand the test of time.

Hawk & Sparrow is a vintage clothing boutique geared toward men, women and all identities in between. Located in the Hamilton Art District, each vintage piece has been carefully selected for its beauty and timelessness.

The store offers a mix of high-end and low-end vintage, as well as second-hand and new clothing. When browsing Hawk & Sparrow’s vintage collection, you’ll find pieces dating back as far as 1910 all the way up to the 1990s.

If you’re looking for fantastic vintage options that span multiple eras, Hawk & Sparrow is a great place to shop. If you can’t find the time to visit their physical location, be sure to shop their Etsy store.
