It’s no secret that Hamilton is a massive hub for film and television production, or that Netflix frequently shoots its hit television shows and original films here in town.
If you’ve ever caught a glimpse of The Hammer in a Netflix movie or show and wanted to dive deeper, the streaming service has launched a new website with an interactive map that shows you where some of its most popular content was filmed all over Canada; including, of course, Hamilton.
The website is called Netflix in Your Neighbourhood, and it allows fans to explore some of their favourite Netflix titles by shooting location across Canada.

There are also large, companion stickers featuring a QR code on the ground at various sites through Hamilton, indicating a spot where a Netflix original was filmed and allowing locals to learn more by scanning the QR code with their smart phone camera.
One of the most notable Netflix properties shot here in Hamilton is The Umbrella Academy, an immensely popular superhero series entering its third season which features notable actors like Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Aidan Gallagher, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, and Hamilton’s own T.J. McGibbon.
The Umbrella Academy has famously featured a variety of Hamilton locales including Gore Park, the Avon Theatre along Ottawa Street, and outside of Breezy Corners Restaurant.
Other Netflix originals, like the Emmy Award-winning limited series The Queen’s Gambit, also feature noticeable shots of Hamilton.
